REAL WEDDING: JENNA + NEALON

2021 rolled around and weddings were looking a little different for everyone․ Jenna & Nealon made the best of a challenging time and surrounded by their families and closest friends started the next chapter of their lives together at the very classic‚ and one of my very favourite venues in Winnipeg‚ The Fort Garry Hotel․ It was perfect․

The entire day was flawlessly planned by Melanie Parent Events (one of the best in the biz‚ genuinely)‚ and so beautifully documented by Casey Nolin whose photos I can look at forever․ The look was soft and romantic‚ from florals in white‚ cream and soft pinks‚ to the most gorgeous touches of rich greenery throughout the day․ It was the kind of mood board that makes a designer’s heart sing‚ and I used every bit of it as the foundation for their full stationery suite․ For their invitation suite I designed a card and large RSVP card‚ stitched together with one piece of gold fine twine․ This styling was so simple and understated‚ without feeling overdone․ It was a small detail that translated beautifully in photos‚ but also felt so special to hold in your hands․ Their day-of stationery pieces‚ from the ceremony to the reception‚ included a showstopper seating chart and a sweets table sign and bar menu that carried the look throughout the rest of the event․ Table stationery included table numbers‚ menus and place cards so that every seat in that room felt considered and polished․ This was one of those projects where the couple’s vision was so clear and so lovely that my job was mostly just to translate it beautifully onto paper‚ and I think we did exactly that․ Five years ago feels like a lifetime ago‚ but this wedding still just as beautiful!
